Enhancing Knowledge for Renewed Policies against Poverty
How can we bring some real comfort to the lives of millions of people?
How to explain the persistence and intensification of poverty?
Understanding Poverty Dynamics and a Comprehensive Approach with a dedicated research are mandatory in order to explain the persistence and exacerbation of poverty. This is NoPoor Project main’s objective.
Our network of more than 100 scientists from all over the world, explore new areas and innovative methods to improve living conditions in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
A Comprehensive approach is used to ensure the identification of the key dynamics to explain poverty. Yet causes may differ among countries — this calls for policies and actions to be adjusted to each poor country’s characteristics, including access to resources, political regime and living conditions.
In this sense, The NoPoor Project is also an Evidence-based Policy Advice to policymakers around the globe. It complements the EU‘s agenda with consultations, guidance notes and policy briefs. The inclusive research design takes in important poverty alleviation stakeholders— donors and beneficiaries, civil society and researchers, development practitioners and media.
